Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cabbage shredded
  • 1 large carrot shredded
  • 2 small chillies diced finely
  • 100 grams granulated sugar or rice syrup
  • 250 ml rice wine vinegar, salt to taste
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Boil vinegar, sugar and salt, turn immediately to low heat after boiling and let simmer until dissolved fully.
  2. Put carrots, chillies, ginger and cabbage in airtight container.
  3. Pour hot vinegar mixture over vegetables, mix well and seal tightly.
  4. Refrigerate overnight.
